Memorandum of understanding between the «Agricultural Credit Corporation » and «The Department of Lands and Survey» for the adoption of the «Automatic attachment of the real estate». Ad Dustur - Mahmoud Krishan: On Monday 28/3/2011 a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) and the Department of Lands and Survey (DLS) for the purposes of adopting automatic attachment and redemption service of the Real estate. The memorandum which was signed by the Director General of the ACC, Engineer Tawfiq Habashneh and the Director General of the (DLS), Engineer Nidal Alsagarat, allows the first party to access online the database of attachment and redemption at DLS. Under the memorandum- whichwill be in force for five years- a transaction can't be executed without referring to the Detaining Power (lending institution) and making the process of redemptions electronically. The ACC is committed to respect the intellectual property rights and the information of DLS to be used for its purposes specified in the Memorandum of Understanding without being passed to any third party. Alsagarat clarified that DLS has signed similar agreements with a number of ministries and official institutions in order to root out corruption wherever it was, saying that allowing the ACC to have access to this database gives credibility to the attachment and redemption procedures, especially since numerous corruption cases have been discovered on this subject. The two sides agreed to form a joint committee coordination, andto follow-up theremove obstacles that might be encountered and the interpretation of texts and when necessary reviewing them by the approval of both parties.
